Employees of Ropa Roofing LLC were re-roofing a single story home. The employees were not protected from a fall. This condition exposed the employees to an approximate 11.4 foot fall hazard. (b) Ropa Roofing LLC, at 1555 Lowell Boulevard, Denver, CO: On 11/2/16, the employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or another provision in paragraph (b) of this section which provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Employees of Ropa Roofing LLC were re-roofing a single story detached garage. The employees were not protected from a fall. 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(8): Ladders placed in a location where they could be displaced by workplace activities or traffic, such as in passageways, doorways, or driveways, were not secured to prevent accidental displacement, nor was a barricade used to keep the activities or traffic away from the ladder: (a) Ropa Roofing LLC, at 1555 Lowell Boulevard, Denver, CO: On 11/2/16, ladders placed in a location where they could be displaced by workplace activities or traffic, such as in passageways, doorways, or driveways, were not secured to prevent accidental displacement, nor was a barricade used to keep the activities or traffic away from the ladder. Employees of Ropa Roofing LLC were re-roofing a single story home. The employees accessed the roof via an aluminum extension ladder. The ladder was placed at the front of the home adjacent to the stairs and walkway used to egress or access the front door. The ladder was not secured nor was a barricade used to keep traffic away from the ladder. This condition exposed the employees to an approximate 11.4 foot fall hazard.
