On or about 11/1/16. b) Acid Wash Area: The employer did not require protective eye equipment to be worn when employees were cleaning their tools consisting of the floater, scraper and mixer. On or about 10/28/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Acid Wash Area: An eyewash station capable of 15 minutes of continuous flush, was not provided where corrosive chemicals were used such as but not limited to 31 % hydrochloric acid. On or about 10/28/16. b) Acid Wash Area: An eyewash station capable of 15 minutes of continuous flush, was not provided where corrosive chemicals were used such as but not limited to 31 % hydrochloric acid where employees dispense from a 500 gallon tank containing 31% of hydrochloric acid into a 5 gallon bucket. On or about 11/1/16. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
