29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (Construction Reference:    (a) Employees were not effectively trained on the chemical hazard of silica dust, which is generated by sawing, drilling or sanding concrete, and when using directional boring muds. Additionally, employees were not trained on the Globally Harmonized System of Chemical Classification, an element of the Hazard Communication program that informs employees on the use of hazard warning pictograms, hazard signal words, and safety data sheets.
