Bliss, Power Press exposing to employees to hazardous energy sources. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).

29 CFR 1910.217(b)(7)(iii): Mechanical power press(es) using part revolution clutches were not provided with a means of selecting off, inch, single stroke, and continuous (when the continuous function was furnished) with the clutch/brake control to select type of operation of the press. Fixing of the selection was not by means capable of supervision by the employer: Production Floor, 100 Appleton Street, Holyoke MA: On or about November 1, 2016 employees were operating an A.W. Bliss, Derby, Power Press, serial number A1279-166610-1964 which had a part revolution clutch which was provided with a means of selecting off, inch, single stroke and continuous modes with the clutch brake control and was not under the supervision of the employer (by means of removing the control key from the control board) exposing employees to amputation hazards. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
