Violation observed on or about 11/03/2016 Employee performing construction activities from a JLG Lift exited the lift in close proximity to an unprotected edge without any means of fall protection, thereby exposing worker to an approximate 25ft fall hazard. 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt with lanyard attached to the boom or basket was not worn by employee(s) working from an aerial lift: a) 815 17th Street Union City, NJ (Gilmore School) The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of more than 20 feet to the ground while on an aerial lift without any means of fall arrest system such as a harness and lanyard attached to the basket. Violation observed on or about 12/08/2016 Niram Construction Co Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 977523, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/07/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 1767 Route 10 East Morris Plains, NJ.
