29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Location: 354-364 New York Ave., 54-62 Houston St. & 48-57 Napoleon St., Newark, NJ. a) Employee was exposed to a fall hazard of over 7 feet to the ground below as fall protection methods were not used while he was using a level during foundation/form layout operations; on or about 10/21/16. Concrete Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 963987, citation number 1, item number 2c, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/16/14, with respect to a workplace located at 300 Glenwood Avenue, Bloomfield, NJ.
