29 CFR 1910.265(e)(5)(iii)(a): Edger(s) were not provided with safety fingers or other approved methods of preventing kickbacks or guarding against them: A.) Rudy J. Byler dba Rudy J. Byler, 21 Council Street, Wheatland, PA 16161, on or about October 3, 2016: An employee was operating a Corley Edger Machine (Serial Number: 78-E848-005) when a wooden board was ejected from the machine and struck the employee. The machines anti-kick back finger guards did not effectively prevent wood edgings and components from flying out of the machine toward the worker feeding lumber into the machine.
