29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: (a) On or about November 10, 2016, at the above addressed jobsite in the Grinding Room, the employer did not establish an effective hearing conservation program for employees, who perform grinding and polishing during aluminum casting operations, exposed to continuous noise at 272% of the action level noise exposure or the equivalent sound level of approximately 97.2 decibels during 413 minute sampling period; exposure calculations include a zero (0) increment for the 67 minutes not sampled. (b) On or about November 10, 2016, at the above addressed jobsite in the Molding Department, the employer did not establish an effective hearing conservation program for employees, who perform grinding and polishing during aluminum casting operations, exposed to continuous noise at 117% of the action level noise exposure or the equivalent sound level of approximately 91.1 decibels during 363 minute sampling period; exposure calculations include a zero (0) increment for the 117 minutes not sampled.
