29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(3)(ii): The employer did not ensure that the employee used appropriate personal protective equipment when there was occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens: a) Compactor Room: Housekeeping personnel had occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious (opim) when manually handling bags of regulated wastes, cleaning up spills of blood/opim that have leaked from such bags, and cleaning carts used to transport bags of regulated wastes. The employer did not require the use of appropriate protective equipment (e.g., liquid resistant protective clothing, boots and/or shoe covers or equivalent and appropriate eye protection (e.g., goggles or equivalent); on or about 10/24/16.
