The employer is failing to ensure that an electrical box containing an outlet was securely mounted. This outlet was located in the Quonset building alongside a breaker panel setting on the shelf above the work bench held in place only by the conductors coming out of the breaker panel.

29 CFR 1910.305(b)(1)(i): Openings through which conductors entered cutout boxes, cabinets, or fittings were not effectively closed: The employer is failing to protect employees from electric shock or arc flash hazards. This violative condition was most recently documented on November 9, 2016 at 418 Railroad St. Farnam, Nebraska. The employer is failing to ensure that the electrical conductors feeding power to the unsecured box were protected and space around the connectors was effectively closed. The breaker panel was located above the work bench on the South wall of the Quonset building adjacent to the rollup door.
