29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. As observed on or about 11/02/2016, for employees using a cloth end cutter to cut fabric for acoustic panels. The cutter had 0.75 inch of the blade exposed. An employee suffered an amputation of the tip of the left pinky finger when attempting to unjam fabric from the cutter.
