Located at 597 Preston Trail in Pickerington, Ohio: On or about November 15, 2016, employees were operating pneumatic nailers and a circular saw without eye protection, exposing employees to a struck by hazard.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. Note to paragraph (g)(1): The fall protection requirements for employees installing suspension scaffold support systems on floors, roofs, and other elevated surfaces are set forth in subpart M of this part.    a. Located at 597 Preston Trail in Pickerington, Ohio: On or about November 15, 2016, an employee was installing fascia and soffit materials from a pump jack scaffold approximately thirteen foot and seven inches above the concrete driveway. The scaffold was not equipped with an effective guardrail system, to include a midrail, exposing the employee to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.452(j)(2): Poles shall be secured to the structure by rigid triangular bracing or equivalent at the bottom, top, and other points as necessary. When the pump jack has to pass bracing already installed, an additional brace shall be installed approximately 4 feet (1.2 m) above the brace to be passed, and shall be left in place until the pump jack has been moved and the original brace reinstalled.   a. Located at 597 Preston Trail in Pickerington, Ohio: On or about November 15, 2016, an employee was installing fascia and soffit materials from a pump jack scaffold approximately thirteen foot and seven inches above the concrete driveway. The two pump jack poles were not secured at the bottom, exposing employees to a fall hazard.
