29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) On or about November 8, 2016 at 1192 County Road 177, Cusseta, Al: The employer failed to ensure employees positioning bundles of metal roofing panels from a crane pick near the edge of the roof were protected from falls of 28 feet 3 inches to the ground due to not being connected to the horizontal life line (rat line).
