29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(ii): The written hazard communication program did not include the methods the employer would use to inform employees of the hazards of non-routine tasks, and the hazards associated with chemicals contained in unlabeled pipes in their work areas: (a) 2195 North Reading Road, Denver Pennsylvania - The employer did not adequately inform employees and contractors of the hazards associated with non routine tasks, when pipes were incorrectly labeled with their contents. A contract employee cut into a pipe marked nitrogen that actually carried carbon dioxide and received multiple injuries when the pressurized pipe unexpectedly blew apart, on or about November 17, 2016. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
