Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: (a) On or about November 16th, 2016 for an employee who suffered serious injuries while attempting to remove a trunnion pin from a boom point assembly where liquid oxygen and cutting oil became mixed during the operation, at 921 East Front Avenue in Bismarck, North Dakota. Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to develop and implement procedures to ensure liquid oxygen doesn't come in contact with oils and other flammable materials.
