29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): Electric equipment had damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. On or about 29 November 2016, and at times prior thereto, a transformer power cable for a 3D X-Ray Scanner EDS4 had visible signs of overheating and arcing, exposing employees performing service on the scanner to an electrical hazard up to approximately 208 volts.
