29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a) Third Floor Deck - Two carpenters without fall protection were observed near an open side of the deck while building a wall panel that was laying flat on the deck and exposed to a 33 foot fall hazard, on or about 12/05/2016.  b) First Floor - An employee without fall protection was observed sitting on a window sill that was 25 inches above the floor and exposed to a 10 foot fall hazard to an alleyway below, on or about 12/05/2016.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
