29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: or in the alternative NFPA 70 of the NEC, Article 210, Part II. Branch-Circuit Ratings 210.21(B)(2): Total Cord-and-Plug-Connected Load. Where connected to a branch circuit supplying two or more receptacles or outlets, a receptacle shall not supply a total cord-and-plug-connected load in excess of the maximum specified in Table 210.21(B)(2). Max load amperes for 15 amperes receptacle is 12 amperes. Expeditor's work area at the North Truck Dock- (a) Employees were exposed to a fire hazard created by numerous devices connected to a 15 ampere branch circuit, which exceeded the maximum total cord-and-plug-connected load rating. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1067217, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/8/2015, with respect to a workplace located at Seattle, WA 98155.
