29 CFR 1910.101(b): Section 3.4.4, Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, as adopted by 29 CFR 1910.101(b): Compressed gas cylinder(s) not in use were not properly supported to prevent them from being knocked over: (a) Electronic Shop: On or about November 30, 2016, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards in that cylinders of compressed nitrogen gas were not secured to prevent them from being knocked over. The USGS, Arizona Water Science Center Hdqtrs was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.101(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1043140, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 520 N. Park Ave. Tuscon, AZ 85719.
