On or about August 29, 2016, an employee had days away from work and required prescription medications due to an eye infection that developed after the employee had bird droppings and feathers fall into his eye.  On or about October 6, 2016, an employee received stitches due to a laceration of the right thumb from getting cut by a strap cutter.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
