29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person: (a) On or about November 30, 2016, Academy Lodging, as the controlling employer, did not ensure that the employees of JM Plastering, subcontractor, were safe from health and safety hazards by conducting effective regular and frequent safety inspections of the job site by a competent person. The employees of JM Plastering were exposed to fall hazards due to not having a ladder set-up while working on the scaffold and not wearing fall restraints while working on the aerial lift (Platform). Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
