29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): Energy control program. The employer shall establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: On 12/16/2016, U. S. Tactical Systems Inc. dba Elite Survival Systems located at 310 W. 12th St., Washington, MO, had not established an Energy Control Program for the maintenance and servicing of their equipment. This program must consist of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections concerning the equipment with multiple energy sources. The following equipment was observed with the following energy sources: 1) The Sheffield Webbing Hot Cutter (Electric, Pneumatics, and Thermal); and 2) The Button Sewing (Snap) Machine (Electric and Pneumatics).
