29 CFR 1910.28(b)(6)(i): Each employee working less than 4 feet (1.2 m) above dangerous equipment was not protected from falling into or onto the dangerous equipment by a guardrail system. a) Sheeter Area in Building 2: On or about December 19, 2016, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards caused by dropping onto a running machine (called a Sheeter) capable of causing injury and impairment because of guardrails not being provided on all open sides of an open platform over the running machine with rollers, shears, and nip points.
