29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person had been performed prior to permitting employee(s) to start demolition operations: a) At the jobsite, on the 3rd floor, on or about 12/20/16: The employer used a Kobelco Excavator to demolish a building where his employees were working within approximately 20 feet from the demolition itself. This work was performed without having first provided for an engineering survey performed by a competent person to prevent unintended collapse of the structure. Infinity Enterprises was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.850(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1125836, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/12/16(date), with respect to a workplace located at 1649 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY.

29 CFR 1926.859(a): Workers other than only those employees necessary for the performance of demolition operations were permitted in an area when balling or clamming was being performed: a) At the jobsite, on the 3rd floor, on or about 12/20/16: The employer used a Kobelco Excavator to demolish a building where his employees were working within approximately 20 feet from the demolition itself. The workers inside the building were engaged in asbestos removal and not in any way involved in the demolition process. Infinity Enterprises was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.859(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1125836, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on 7/12/16, with respect to a workplace located at 1649 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY.
