Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall, struck by, and caught between hazards associated with the installation of inadequately braced prefabricated roof trusses: a. Site - Employees were exposed to struck by and caught between hazards where prefabricated wood roof trusses were not adequately braced during installation.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a. Site - Employees setting wooden roof trusses were not protected from falls of approximately 20 feet while standing on the top plates of the wood framed walls without the use of fall protection. b. Site - Employees were not protected from falls of approximately 12 feet when 9 of 11 window openings on the second floor of the office portion of the building were not equipped with a guardrail.
