29 CFR 1926.451(a)(1): Scaffold(s) and scaffold(s) component(s) were not capable of supporting, without failure, its own weight and at least four times the maximum intended load applied or transmitted to it: On 1/9/2017, An employee from Mac Steel Erection and Welding Service Inc. was welding metal beams together at a commercial building located at 17290 North Outer 40, Chesterfield, MO. The employee was working from a scissor lift approximately fifteen feet above the ground. The employee while performing welding operations was witnessed standing, for several minutes on the midrail of the scissor lift, in an attempt to gain additional height to perform his work.
