29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. (a) North and South Roof - On or about January 5, 2017 employees were exposed to a flying object hazard while using nail guns. None of these employees were wearing eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toe boards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) North and South Roof - On or about January 5, 2017 employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on a steep roof 21 feet above the ground without adequate fall protection. The employees were wearing harnesses with no lanyards attached.
