29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): Floors(s) of workroom(s) were not maintained, so far as possible, in a dry condition: 1725 Clark Ave., St. Louis (VMF): a) Battery Room: On January 10, 2017 an employee used an emergency eyewash fountain. Water from the eyewash fountain did not go down the drain exposing employees to slipping hazards where mechanics went to use battery charging facilities. The drain was plugged to prevent acidic water from draining into the main sewer. b) Ground Floor, Break Room area: On and before January 24, 2017, employees were exposed to slipping hazards where there was water on workplace floors. An ice machine in a hall way across from the Break Room leaked water onto the floors.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(1): Each exit route was not adequately lighted so that employees with normal vision could see along the exit route: 1725 Clark Ave., St. Louis: On and before 01/24/2017 employees were exposed to fall hazards where a flight of stairs used for emergency exit purposes from basement floor SW 18 to ground floor did not have functioning lights. The lamps which had burned out were not replaced.
