29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59).   a) On or about 1/18/2017 and at times prior to, Synergy Service employees were working at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center located at 1310 24th Avenue South in Nashville, TN and were using acetylene compressed gas and duct sealant (skin, eye, respiratory irritants) and the employer did not did have a copy of the written hazard communication program available to employees on site.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i): The employer did not compile a list of the hazardous chemicals known to be present using a product identifier that was referenced on the appropriate safety data sheet.  a) On or about 1/18/2017 and at times prior to, Synergy Service employees were working at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center located at 1310 24th Avenue South in Nashville, TN and were using acetylene compressed gas and duct sealant (skin, eye, respiratory irritants) and the employer did not did not have a chemical list of these materials available to employees on site.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
