29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: (a) J.R. Framing, at 3232 W. 20th Ave., Denver, CO 80204: On and before January 19, 2017, the exposing employer failed to ensure that employees wore hard hats when working in areas where they could be struck by falling objects. Employees were performing framing work on the second deck of a project, and were dropping materials to the ground in close proximity to other employees working on the ground. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of being struck by falling materials.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) J.R. Framing, at 3232 W. 20th Ave., Denver, CO 80204: On and before January 19, 2017, the exposing employer failed to ensure that employees performing framing work on the second deck of a project were adequately protected against falls. Condition exposed employees performing framing to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet off of a flat deck which was in the process of being framed.
