29 CFR 1910.132(e): The employer did not ensure that employees were not using defective or damaged personal protective equipment in the workplace. a) Veolia North America on or about January 11, 2017 at the address of 1150 Metcalf Street in Lima, Ohio; the employer failed to ensure employees wore personal protective equipment that was free of damage or defects. An employee suffered chemical burns to their foot after a mixture of hydrated lime and water leaked through the bottom of their rubber boots while clearing a jam in the drain of the lime building.
