29 CFR 1926.62(d)(1)(i): Each employer who had a workplace or operation covered by 29 CFR 1926.62 did not initially determine if any employee was exposed to lead at or above the action level of 30 micrograms per cubic meter of air (30 μg/m3) calculated as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA):    (a) Superior Demolition Inc., 320 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80204: On or before January 12, 2016, the employer did not ensure that employees working in a lead contaminated area were not exposed at or above the action level prior to starting work in the firing range of the US Mint in Denver. Wipe sample results show significant levels of lead dust in the work area. Employees performed demolition work while remodeling a firing range.  Employees demolished walls and concrete floors, and removed metal doors and a steel plate from the back wall of the firing range. The employer did not determine if the employee was exposed to lead at or above the action level.  The employer did not provide the employee with appropriate respiratory protection. Employees were conduction demolition work in the firing range. Dust containing lead was allowed to accumulate on surfaces including but not limited to floors, tool boxes, and desks.
