29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Wood Shop: Employees were exposed to caught in hazards while working on the Delta 17-900 Type 1 16-1/2" Drill Press with an unguarded chuck. (b) Truck Shop: Employees were exposed to caught in hazards while working on the Jet JDP-17MF Floor Drill Press with an unguarded chuck. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1084938, CITATION 02, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 21, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, 1303 SOUTH U. S. HIGHWAY 95, NEEDLES, CALIFORNIA 92363.

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1085587, CITATION 02, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 22, 2015 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, PARTNERS POINT ROAD, LAKE HAVASU, ARIZONA 86406.
