29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about January 25, 2017, employees were exposed to a struck by hazard. The employees were installing roofing materials on a new residential home located in Brunswick, Ohio 44212. The employees were using air powered nail guns without wearing safety glasses. The Millers Construction & Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183097, citation number 1, item number 2,and was affirmed as a final order on 11/15/2016, with respect to a workplace located in Medina, Ohio 44256.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On or about January 25, 2017, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 19 feet. The employees were installing roofing materials on a new residential home located in Brunswick, Ohio 44212. The employees were working on all areas of the roof without properly wearing personal fall arrest systems. The Millers Construction & Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1183097, citation number 1, item number 3,and was affirmed as a final order on 11/15/2016, with respect to a workplace located in Medina, Ohio 44256. .
