29 CFR 1910.1001(k)(1): The employer did not maintain all surfaces as free as practicable of ACM waste and/or debris and accompanying dust: A) The main room of the facility had floor tiles that had asbestos containing materials. The sealant that was applied to encapsulate the tiles, had peeled off in places, where tiles were exposed, seams in between tiles were open, and in some cases the tiles themselves had cracked. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard: 29 CFR 1910.1001(k)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1189943, citation 2 item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 3rd, 2017 with respect to a workplaces located at 4244 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105.
