Such tools shall not be in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but can only be used to supplement protection provided. 338 Hwy 15, Lillie, LA, shop area: On or about January 19, 2017, the employer did not ensure that employee(s) used special tools such a push stick to clean debris from a gang rip saw. Employee(s) were exposed to amputation hazards from the moving blades due to centrifugal force.

Saw dust and wood debris were allowed to accumulate on top and inside of horizontal surfaces and electrical boxes on the saw, exposing employees to fire hazards.
