29 CFR 1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt shall be worn and a lanyard attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift. Note to paragraph (b)(2)(v): As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d)) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated under 1926.502(e).  (a)  Right of the building (next to a scaffold) - On or about January 25, 2017 an employee was exposed a fall hazard while operating a JLG Lift S-660SJ serial no. 54776-025L the employee was elevated 22 feet 2 inches above the ground.  The employee inside aerial lift did not have adequate fall protection.  The employee did not have a lanyard attached to his harness.    PANZONE & COMPANY WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.453(B)(2)(V) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 952801 CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, ISSUED ON MARCH 6, 2014 WITH A FINAL ORDER DATE OF APRIL 10, 2014 WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 14635 AIRLINE HWY GONZALES, LOUISISANA 70737.
