29 CFR 1910.179(n)(3)(i): The load was not well secured and properly balanced in the sling or lifting device before it was lifted more than a few inches. On or about January 24, 2017 at the T & W Steel facility in Lees Summit, Missouri- Employee was using an overhead crane to move steel materials that were not properly balanced or secured and was struck-by the steel material when it tilted and released from the slings lifting it. Abatement certification for this item is required.
