On or about January 27, 2017, employees and employees of a subcontractor, were walking/working along a roof and were not protected from falling through a skylight(s) by use of personal fall arrest systems, covers, or guardrail systems erected around such skylight(s). Employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than six (6) feet to the concrete below.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about January 27, 2017 and at times prior there to, employees and employees of a subcontractor performing roofing work activities accessed and exited the roof by traveling along the roof(s) line without having fall protection. The employees were exposed to fall hazards.
