29 CFR 1926.451(f)(15)(i): When the ladder is placed against a structure which is not a part of the scaffold, the scaffold shall be secured against the sideways thrust exerted by the ladder;  Trail Creek Village Shopping Center, 700 US Hwy 29, Athens, GA - An employee observed climbing the ladder to gain access to the roof was exposed to a fall hazard, in that a ladder being used on scaffolding was not secured against sideways movement, on or about 01/10/17.

Trail Creek Village Shopping Center, 700 US Hwy 29, Athens, GA - An employee observed climbing the ladder to gain access to the roof was exposed to a fall hazard, in that a ladder being used on scaffolding was not secured at its base against slipping, on or about 01/10/2017.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

Trail Creek Village Shopping Center, 700 US Hwy 29, Athens, GA - An employee observed leaning over the edge of a flat roof was not protected against falling approximately 8 feet to scaffold decking by guardrails or safety net or personal fall arrest system, on or about 01/10/2017. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard when the ladder did not extend three (3) feet above the roof edge, on or about 01/10/2017.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
