29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Strain relief. Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided which will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. Thunder Valley Casino Parking Lot 7: A black, flexible cord set was not protected from being pulled out from the switch box of the Dewalt electrical compressor and the inner conductors were exposed on the joint/terminal screws. Employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards.

29 CFR 1926.302(b)(4): Compressed air shall not be used for cleaning purposes except where reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment which meets the requirements of Subpart E of this part. The 30 p.s.i. requirement does not apply for concrete form, mill scale and similar cleaning purposes. Thunder Valley Casino Parking Lot 7: The air nozzle used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i to prevent a struck by accident or an embolism. The air pressure was measured at approximately 75 p.s.i.
