29 CFR 1910.242(a): Each employer shall be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees, including tools and equipment which may be furnished by employees. Hand and power tools or equipment was not kept in safe condition. a) For employees working at the service bay, on or about February 2, 2017, the employees were using lifts # 5 and # 7 with missing retaining clips that held the main lifting pins from coming out of the lift platforms.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: a) For employees working at 1619 Del Prado Blvd South in Cape Coral, as observed on or about February 7, 2017. Employees were using a vehicle scissor lift to change the tires on vehicles that was missing the strain relief on the main power cable to the lift system. Employees were exposed to an electrocution hazard while operating the lift controls. b) For employees working at 1619 Del Prado Blvd South in Cape Coral, as observed on or about February 7, 2017. Employees were using pedestal mounted fans to cool the work area that was missing the strain relief on the main power cord to the motor. Employees were exposed to an electrocution hazard while moving or adjusting the metal housing of the fan.
