29 CFR 1910.138(b): The employer did not base selection of on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the hand protection relative to the tasks to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the hazards and potential hazards identified: On February 8, 2017, employer did not provide appropriate hand protection to employees working in the detailing area using handling wheel cleaners containing acids. This condition exposed employees to chemical burns.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. On February 8, 2017, employees working with corrosives did not have a clear and unobstructed path to suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes. This condition exposed employees to chemical burns to eyes and other parts of the body.
