29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. Roof - On or about February 10, 2017, framers were exposed to a 40 foot fall while building a parapet wall at the edge of a flat roof. the framers did not have fall protection to prevent them from falling from the roof. Rodriguez Home Remodeling and Framing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1151516, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on August 1, 2016 with respect to a workplace located at 7233 W. Presley Blvd., McComb, MS 39648.
