29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a)  In the fabrication shop, employees were not provided with information on operations in their work areas where hazardous chemicals were present.  The employees were not trained on the methods and observations used to detect the presence or release of hazardous chemicals in the work area; the physical and health hazards of chemicals in the work area; and appropriate protective measures. Employees were potentially exposed to hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, cutting oil.
