(a) Location - 157 Lowell Street, Lexington, MA: On or about February 8, 2017, employees accessing the second floor of a home under construction, adjacent to the stairwell was an unguarded opening that was 9 feet 6 inches above the basement below.

29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail and one stairrail system along each unprotected side or edge. (a) Location - 157 Lowell Street, Lexington, MA: On or about February 8, 2017, employees utilizing a stairway to access the second floor of a home under construction, the stairway did not have a stair rail system along the unprotected edge.
