29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about February 15, 2017, at the construction site located at 879-881 E. Fulton Street, Columbus, Ohio, employees were performing roofing work on the top roof level of a two story residential duplex home with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and approximately 20 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard. a. On or about February 15, 2017, at the construction site located at 879-881 E. Fulton Street, Columbus, Ohio, employees were performing roofing work on the lower roof level of a two story residential duplex home with a pitch of approximately 4 in 12 and approximately 10 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard.
