29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a) On or about February 21, 2017; Roof area of residential home (Front); an employee operating a Milwaukee reciprocating saw was not wearing eye protection to protect against flying hazards generated while cutting wood  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a) On or about February 21, 2017; Roof area of residential home (Front); an employee working approximately 35-40 feet was not wearing fall protection to protect against falling while cutting the access material off the rafters that were installed.                No abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
