29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about February 23, 2017 on the canopy where employees were exposed to a fall hazard of more than 6 feet while installing the fascia without a fall protection system in place. J & J Erectors was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1077309, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 13, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1630 Loop 1604, San Antonio, TX 78251.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about February 23, 2017 at the site where employee were exposed to a fall hazard in that the 24 foot aluminum extension ladder used to access the canopy. J & J Erectors was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1077309, citation number 1 item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on August 13, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1630 Loop 1604, San Antonio, TX 78251.
