29 CFR 1910.178(o)(1): The employer did not ensure that only stable or safely arranged loads were handled: a) On or about February 28, 2017, at the above located workplace, employees (fork lift operators) operating Hyster fork lifts were allowed to load and travel with one to three bundles of steel pipes while elevated 18 to 20 feet in the air. The bundles of steel pipes were approximately 20 feet long. Each bundle weighed approximately 2,000 pounds. The employer did not ensure that only stable and safe loads were handled. The forklift operators and other employees in the immediate area were exposed to the hazards associated with unstable elevated loads of steel pipes.
